The next scheduled Boone Tree Meeting is Tuesday, 31 January at the Gray Public Library, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Our speaker will be former media specialist and adjunct instructor at UT, Ed Sullivan, from Oak Ridge, speaking about his book, The Ultimate Weapon: The Race to Develop the Atomic Bomb, who is slated to speak before the business meeting part of the meeting will begin.
We hope to hold our organizational elections at this meeting, but still seek at least one candidate willing to run for President and at least two candidates willing to run for Secretary. If you are interested in running for office, please contact the Nominating Committee Chair, Chrissie Anderson Peters (capeters@NortheastState.edu or 423.354.2463) for more information. Most members’ dues will also be expired by this meeting, so please bring $10 for membership dues if you would like to vote in the election. Boone Tree Membership is open to anyone who loves libraries and books/literature, whether they are currently working in or are affiliated with a specific library or not.
